I was asked to create a instagram post for the Brisbane Roar Vs Perth Glory game. I was required to create a 4x5 version. For this one we changed things up a little bit. Star footballer Daniel Sturridge was going to play so we wanted to include him in the graphic. However, we wanted to make Perth and Sturridge feel small in Queensland. The lion graphic showcases the fierce personality of the Brisbane Roar side and supporters. I was also told to try include a map of QLD somewhere in the assest like they do on the back off their kit. This was challenging as it was an awkward shape but In the background you can see the outline of the Queensland coast with the city of Brisbane masked into it. As Daniel Sturridge was a former Liverpool player who developed a massive following whilst he was playing in England, we thought of having him in half his Glory kit and half his Liverpool kit to make the euro-snobs take notice. However, I made two versions. One with the half half kit and one with the normal Perth Glory kit as it had to be checked up with Perth's team.
Unfortunately, the game was cancelled due to COVID-19 and the graphic was not utilised.
